September/October 2007

One of Reed's favorite toys is an ice cream bucket. He has learned not to walk around the house with it on his head without watching where he is going. (he learned the hard way by walking into a wall)

Reed had an accident at daycare a while back. He was climbing on the climber and he missed a step and fell on his lip. His tooth almost went through his bottom lip. Reed was a trooper. Jason took him to the hospital to have it looked at and they do not put stitches inside the mouth. So Reed went without but he did fine. He didn't look like himself for a while though. After a few days it had healed nicely. It was quite the morning though when it happened.

My cousins, my aunt LeAnn and Hailey's friend, Emily, came over to visit with Reed. He was a little hesitant at first but did finally warn up to them. I think it was the number of people along with the height that scared him a little bit. Notice he is sporting his Viking's jersey.

Reed has never been one to wear his sunglasses but he has grown attached to the things. I have to say he looks awfully cute in them.

I took Reed to the orchard last Saturday. My mom, my aunt Yvonne and my grandma got roped into going as well. I called them while they were on their way back from Iowa and they were driving through the area. I was glad they came with us. Reed didn't show too much excitement though. He was taking it all in. Doesn't he look relaxed sitting on the pumpkins. We didn't stay very long for it was getting dark quickly. I picked out a few pumpkins and some apples and went home. Hopefully next year I can plan a longer visit and actually go on a wagon and pick our own pumpkins.

Grandma Lois was in town getting ready to leave for Arizona. She closes up her house in Iowa and then flies down to AZ with one of her daughters. My mom went with her this time. She spends the winters in a much warmer climate. I don't blame her one bit. She enjoys the time she gets to spend with Reed and I am glad I get to capture those moments. They are definitely priceless.

A medical update on our boy...
He has had 5-6 ear infections since having tubes put into his ears in April. We are having him tested for an immune deficiency. I will post further info as we get it. I hope the doctors can figure out why he keeps getting infections soon. The medications are enough to drive a person crazy.
