6 month checkup

A medical update was sent to us today. Reed is now 14 pounds. He is 63.5 cm or 25.4 inches tall. His head circumference is 40.8 cm or 16.32 inches.

Reed at 6 months

These photos were taken last week when the woman at the agency traveled to Guatemala. Her name is Milena and is in the bottom two photos with Reed. The woman in the top photo I do not know. It could be one of two people, his foster mom, Rosa, or the woman from the orphanage, Lissette. He looks happy and so clean. You know how important that is to a mother or maybe just me.

No word yet on how long it will be but doesn't sound good. From the email Milena sent today they still have yet to interview the biological mom with Reed in PGN. ( PGN = the Guatemalan governing body that approves the adoption under Guatemalan law and is an independent government process.) She said that should happen this week. She also said a family who had their interview on March 14th are just coming out of PGN on June 2nd. I don't know what that could mean for us but it didn't sound good to me. I am wondering if it could be August before we can get out of PGN. I am not optomistic anymore because it seems to get pushed back every time we turn around. I did contact Milena on her thoughts and hope she can maybe shed some light on the topic in the next week or so.
