Halloween 2010

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The Halloween Party at school is always tough at first. Reed seems to have a shy side once in a while. He takes about 20 minutes to warm up.

Reed and his really good buddy at school, Donovan. Reed talks about Donovan all the time and they will even be celebrating their birthdays together. I sure hope they will be going to the same school for Kindergarten.

Reed carving pumpkins with Mommy and Grandma Sue.

Reed all dressed up as a "worker man". He may look a little bit puffy because he had to wear a few layers since it was in the 40's here. I think he has been watching his Daddy work around the house and it may have had some influence on his decision to be a "worker man". We also pretend being a pizza man. He was delivering pizzas earlier in the day.

Severs Corn Maze October 2010

The group waiting to get in to Severs Corn Maze.

Dru and Reed milking a cow. Hopefully you can see it wasn't a real one but they didn't seem to mind.

There were so many of these boards with photo ops that we couldn't resist.

Fire Station tour and playing with the neighbors

Savage has a new fire station. They opened it up to the public to see one night. Reed was so excited to see the fire trucks.

Jason and Reed waited a long time for this ride in the fire truck. Reed talked about it all the way home and wanted to tell all of his friends at school about it.

The neighborhood friends playing in the leaves. They had such a blast.

Apple Orchard 2010

Walking through the orchard. Reed and Dru are helping Leo as they walk back to catch the wagon.
The three cousins.

Reed loved looking over the pumpkins. He seems to love Halloween.

Reed, Dru, Leo and Yvonne getting on the wagon to ride out to the orchard. They were ready to start picking apples.

Reed and Leo riding the tractor at the orchard. Leo saw something really neat, can you tell by his facial expression?

Summit Hill House Tour September 2010

Reed was so good on the tour. It was a bunch of old, large homes on Summit Avenue that had been updated and put on the tour. So it wasn't something Reed loved to be doing but he was well behaved most of the day. He kept the people in line entertained.

Jason and Reed anxious to get to the next house.

The house that I liked the best.

After the tour we went back to Heidi and Julie's house to celebrate Grandma Sue's birthday.

Labor Day weekend

While trying to find an apple orchard near the lake we came across this one. They didn't have any apples ready Labor Day weekend but they did share the ponies and horses with us. They even allowed the kids to feed them apples they had picked earlier.

We went to play mini golf after the apple orchard.

Jason and Reed rode in the race cars. Scot, Holly, Bella and Cooper also joined in the driving fun.

Reed welcoming us to Carlos Creek Winery. We did some sampling and purchasing of wine.

One of the wines we sampled was made from peaches. Very sweet but good.

MN State Fair 2010

Dru and Reed riding some kiddie rides at the fair. They both enjoyed them and we were able to get a smile on Reed's face.

Reed wore is crabby pants to the fair. He was able to shake it a little bit later in the day. You just cannot be crabby at the fair.

The family at the Tonic Sol-fa concert at the Leine's stage. Music and beer. You cannot get any better than that. I am not sure where Dru and Leo were, I am guessing they were in their strollers behind Heidi.

The cow barn.

Centennial Lakes, Edina

Reed was ready to cover his ears in case the ducks got loud. He is so funny.
Centennial Lakes in Edina, the paths and water is so beautiful.

Reed posing since his mom was making him.

Twins game 2010

The family portrait before the game.

Reed and Dru after the game.

Reed giving TC Bear a thumbs up. He loves going to the Twins games and seeing TC. I think Reed may be playing baseball in the future.

We went to visit Grandma Lois in July 2010

Graettinger is never a busy place but the train stoppped us as we left for home on Sunday.
The big tree next to Grandma's garage. She is thinking about cutting it down. I wish she wouldn't since it is so neat.

Reed did some playing in the sprinkler to keep cool. Oops, we forgot his swim suit. Sorry buddy.

The weather was so hot and we all looked a little like the picture. Reed was enjoying the time outside. The tricycle is the one we all rode while growing up.
