Reed's new baby cousin

Announcing...
Dru Lizann Robole

Reed's new baby cousin arrived yesterday, November 15, 2007. She is absolutely the cutest baby next to Reed. She came into the world at 7:43pm weighing 7 pounds 13 ounces and she was 20 inches tall. She found her thumb right away, already taking after mommy. Heidi asked me to be in the delivery room with her and Julie. I was honored that she asked me to be with her. She definitely made the whole delivery look easy. Even when she was in a lot of pain she was super calm. Maybe that is why Dru is such a mellow little girl.

October/November 2007

Reed enjoyed playing in the leaves once he figured out what it was all about. It took him a while to see how fun it is. He wasn't really interested in the least about carving pumpkins but we tried a small one this year. He would have rather run around the garage or scoop the goop onto the floor. I was trying to be so neat and not mess up "The Garage".

Reed turns 2

Reed turned two on November 7th. We had some family over to celebrate with us. He received some really neat gifts. Some make a lot of noise and some are motorized. It was a very nice birthday. In one of the pictures you can see that Reed is clapping and cheering for us. We had just finished singing Happy Birthday to him. Jason and I also celebrated as a family on the 7th. We had pizza, one of Reed's favorites, and cake. It wasn't anything spectacular but it was something. I can't believe how big Reed is getting. It has been fun to look back one year ago when we were just planning our trip to get Reed. It seems like a just yesterday.

Halloween 2007

Some friends of ours , The Johnson's, had their annual Halloween party. They require costumes for each guest. Some people are really creative and they come up with some great costumes. We went as a doctor, a nurse and Scooby-Doo. My scrubs had Scooby on them to tie all three of us together. That is as creative as I get. The side view a Reed is taken in the garage while the kids were hitting a pinata. They love to take swings at it and see all the candy fall out in the end. I was surprised Reed kept his costume on the whole night and didn't complain. He was great.

Reed's first Halloween. It was so fun to watch him trick or treating. He actually went up and knocked on the doors. He didn't say much of course but he did say bye-bye. Jason stayed home while I went with Reed. It was a lot of fun for me. We even went to Cooper and Bella's house and saw the Schultz family. Then we went to Bloomington to see the Millner family. It was a long night but Reed enjoyed himself. The pictures above were taken at Scot and Holly's house in Savage.
Reed went as a Monkey (as auntie Heidi would call him "Serious George"), Bella was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and Cooper was Spiderman.
