We didn't get any new pictures this month and no news to speak of but wanted to add a few tidbits of information we have received here and there. As of June 1st the interview with the birth mom, which is required in Guatemala, had taken place and we were waiting for the report to be written. The report could take 10 - 30 business days. Another case was interviewed in March and was just coming out of PGN (Guatemalan governing body approving adoptions) on June 2nd. It wasn't good news for our case. Since our interview took place in June we were thinking August could be the month. We would love a surprise though. Once our case comes out of PGN it could take another month to get the birth certificate, passport and the interview with the US Embassy. Once those things are in place we can travel to get Reed.
That being said...
Milena, the woman we are working with at Adoption Miracle, said we were waiting for the report to be written on June 6th. Then on June 9th we were waiting for a signature from someone in PGN who was out on vacation for a week. Milena was also out of the country for 3 weeks from June 12-29. She said we would hear something from Lissette, who is the director of the orphanage where Reed is from, if there was news on our case. Since we do not have any current information on our case you can tell we didn't get an email the past couple of weeks. Milena comes back into the office on the 30th and we hope to hear something from her soon after.
